DELANO, Calif. (KERO) — The Delano City Council is considering a proposal to force residents to comply with Governor Gavin Newsom's stay-at-home order.
Calling it an "urgency ordinance" Council Member Salvador Solorio-Ruiz said the action is in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus through the community.
The ordinance has two parts: To limit outdoor gatherings to 10 people from different households and if it's not adhered, to begin with, a warning, then a $100, $200, or $500 fine for each violation.
