The Delano Joint Union High School District has decided to not make a decision on an employee accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.

The district's board held a special closed-door meeting Thursday morning in regards to Bobby Scott Perigo and announced it would take the advice of its attorney. It did not specify what the advice was.

Perigo, an employee with the district, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. He's confessed to the relationship, saying he was in love with the girl.

District superintendent Terri Nuckols did not comment on the meeting, saying the matter was a personnel issue.
