Delano Police officers have identified the man who was shot and killed Friday morning in Delano.

Officers said, 27-year-old Jaime Melgoza Herrera, was shot at the 1300 block of Clinton Street in Delano around 5:15 a.m. Friday. They said Herrera was taken to Delano Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Officers said the Kern County Sheriff's coroner's office will conduct an autopsy to confirm the cause of death. And no one has been arrested involved in this shooting.
