The Mariachi Mestizo in Delano was invited to play at the Carnegie Hall in New York on April 10.

City Mayor Liz Morris presented a Proclamation to the group Monday.

The group consists of fourteen members from age ten to twenty under the direction of musical director Juan Morales.

They were also given certificate of recognition.

There will be a Benefit Fund Raiser Sendoff on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at La Mina Cantina Restaurant  from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m..  Reservations are required for dinner and three hours of music for $25 per person.  For additional information call Lettie Morales at 661 203-1183.
