A 17-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday night after a Delano Police officer found a loaded firearm in the suspects vehicle, Delano Police said.

The firearm was found after a patrol officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on High Street at about 9:35 p.m.

Delano Police said that during the investigation of the vehicle, the officer located a loaded firearm that was hidden in the car. The suspect was arrested for firearm related charges and was subsequently booked into Juvenile Hall according to Delano Police.
