According to the Delano Police Department on November 8, 2017 around 5:06 a.m. officers with the Delano Police Department were dispatched to 626 Cecil Avenue for a robbery. 

Officers with the Delano Police Department determined that the suspect got inside of the business through the front door and was able to steal several items.  The officers were able to get surveillance footage which showed the suspect, Arnel Tomas Arienda, 38, breaking into the store and taking items. 

According to the Delano Police Department a detective saw Arienda later and tried to make contact with him, but was unsuccessful after Arienda fled on his bicycle.

Officer however were able to catch up to Arienda and after a brief struggle he was taken into custody.

After officers conducted a thorough investigation they were able to determine that Arienda is linked to 18 burglaries throughout the Delano business district.
