Delano Police Department holding a DUI and driver's license checkpoint on Friday

The Delano Police Department will be holding a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint in the city of Delano Friday. 

Officials made the announcement on the department's Facebook page. 

DPD will hold the checkpoint somewhere within city limits Friday, July 13 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, and other expenses that could exceed $10,000.

The public is encouraged to keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
