Delano Police Department officers will wear pink patches during the month of October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Delano Police Department announced Tuesday that officers will not be wearing their usual Delano Police patches during the month of October.

Instead of their normal police patch, officers will wear pink patches to support breast cancer awareness month.

The pink patches are available for sale at Delano police headquarters and the American Cancer Society's Bakersfield office for $10.

Money raised throughout the month will support the American Cancer Society's "Real Men Wear Pink" campaign.

DPD headquarters is located at 2330 High St. in Delano and the American Cancer Society's Bakersfield office is located at 1831 Truxtun Ave.
