BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The results are in from a DUI and driver's license checkpoint held in Delano Friday night.

The Delano Police Department held the checkpoint in downtown Delano.

142 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and DPD screened 18 total vehicles. No drivers were further evaluated or suspected of operating a vehicle while impaired.

DPD issued 12 citations, ranging from misdemeanor violations to traffic infractions. Last year DPD investigated 19 DUI collisions that left nine people injured.
