DELANO, Calif. — Delano Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened on Saturday, May 11 in the area of 300 Balboa Drive.
Police said that just after midnight on Saturday, 33-year-old Alfonso Garcia Jr. was transported to the Delano Regional Medical Center and died from his injuries.
The Delano Police Department Detective Division assumed the investigation and found evidence of a shooting and determined 20-year-old Enrique Batacan Quiniones to be the suspect.
Police were able to locate Quiniones, who was placed into custody. According to police, Quiniones was still in possession of the firearm believed to have been used in the fatal shooting.
