The Delano Police Department was out in the community to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a part of their Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

Officers at the Walmart in Delano were out this weekend selling pink Delano Police Department patches and candy apples. Those that donated received either a free mask and hand sanitizer or signed Delano Police Department baseball cards.

Each patch is $10 and all of the money goes towards the American Cancer Society.

"We try to be out in the community as much as we can again we try to build as much trust as we can within the community. We're transparent so if they have any questions about what we're doing within the community they are more than welcome to come out here and ask us at any time," said Corp.Jose Madrigal of the Delano Police Department.

If you would still like to donate the Delano Police Department has the information to donate available on their Facebook page. The Real Men Wear Pink campaign ends on October 31st.
