Deputies arrest Oildale man for indecent exposure and brandishing a weapon

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Monday, January 28 around 9 a.m., deputies responded to a call of a man in Oildale exposing himself near 100 McCord Avenue in Oildale.

According to KCSO, when deputies arrived, they received information that 60-year-old Robert Hail had been exposing himself. Hail was on parole for prior sex offenses and when deputies contact him, he brandished a knife and held it to his throat.

Members of the Kern County Sheriff's Office Crisis Negotiating Team were called to the scene to speak with him. The SWAT team also assisted with the incident and were able to take Hail into custody after pepper spray was deployed.

After Hail was arrested, he was taken to a local area hospital for treatment and was arrested for indecent exposure and brandishing a weapon.
