BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Authorities have arrested a suspect for burglarizing a smoke shop in Bakersfield.
According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the Havana Smoke Shop on Niles Street after reports of a burglary in progress.
When deputies arrived, they found damaged to the shop's roll up door. Deputies also found 33-year-old Yibrian Ochoa inside the business. Officials were able to recover around $2,000 worth of stolen merchandise, and estimated damage to the smoke shop was $3,000, according to KCSO.
Ochoa was arrested and booked into Central Receiving Facility on felony burglary charges.
