A man is behind bars after officials found over nine pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in Lebec.
According to officials, on July 24 around 10 p.m. a deputy from the Frazier Park Substation conducted a traffic stop on a car near I5 in Lebec for traffic violations. That driver turned out to be 24-year-old Armando Aguilar Rodriguez who officials say was driving without a driver's license at the time.
When deputies searched Rodriguez's car they found around 9.5 pounds of marijuana sealed in bags-- valued at $9,500. Officials also said Rodriguez had $2,353.65 of US currency.
Rodriguez was arrested for transportation of, possession for sales of, and possession of more than 28.5 grams of marijuana and providing false identification to a peace officer and multiple vehicle code violations. He was booked into the Central Receiving Facility.
