The Kern County Sheriff's Deputy who had their guns stolen from their vehicle has been cited.

In October, four guns were stolen from a vehicle in Northwest Bakersfield. KCSO confirmed that the guns belonged to a deputy.

A search was ongoing and three of the four guns have since been located. A fourth was believed to have been located following an officer-involved shooting involving Bakersfield Police.

KCSO says the District Attorney's Office says the deputy was found to be in violation of improper storage of a handgun, which is an infraction.

The deputy has been cited to appear in court.
