The Bakersfield Track Club hosts a series of five 5K's throughout the summer. The purpose is for runners to be able to track their improvement as they run each race. The second race was scheduled for Tuesday, June 20 at Hart Park. Despite 110 degree weather, organizers say they would not cancel this event and plan to run every 5K this summer no matter how hot it gets.
