A Dia de los Muertos Expo was held Wednesday in Central Bakersfield in honor of the holiday.
In Mexican tradition, the spirits of loved ones are given permission to return to earth on this day to join the festivities.
This year’s 24th annual event featured Folkloric as well as traditional dance performances and a live band featuring Marcos Reyes of WAR.
