Former Kern County Sheriff's Office deputy Derrick Penney has been arrested in Idaho.
Officials at the Ada County Sheriff's Office confirm Penney is in custody. He was arrested and faces a "fugitive to Idaho" charge.
Officials in Ada County said there was a warrant out of another state for Penney. They could not specify where the warrant was from.
Penney was connected to a drug ring operated by former Bakersfield Police officers Damacio Diaz and Patrick Mara.
He was previously arrested and given probation along with ex-deputy Logan August.
