BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A science teacher at Frontier High School has resigned from her position, according to the Kern High School District. The school district tells 23ABC that the resignation was effective as of April 30th.

Back in January, Emily Salazar was placed on administrative leave after district officials were made aware of allegations against her. At that time, district officials said they could not say whether the allegations involved students or whether the alleged incident happened on campus. The district would not specify what the allegations involved.

Salazar has been a science teacher at Frontier since 2010. Prior to that, she was a teacher at East High School beginning in 2008. Salazar does have tenure with the Kern High School District. The District said when investigating tenured teachers, they take every incident case by case.
