A Shafter man is facing multiple felony charges including willful cruelty to a child according to court documents. Documents show that Shafter Police were called to South Shafter Avenue on September 2 for a report of a domestic violence restraining order violation.

Surveillance video shows Roel Jimenez violating a protective order and Jimenez being arrested at his home. Documents show that during a search, officers found a live .32-cal round in his front pocket.

Because of Jimenez's prior criminal history, he is not allowed to be in possession of any ammunition or firearms. Documents show that Jimenez told officers that he found the round near his home and that his home had recently been shot at by someone.

Court documents say that Jimenez's girlfriend approached the officers and backed the statement up to officers. After searching his home however, they found ammunition, multiple firearms and other firearm-related items.

Jimenez is due in court on October 1 and is facing multiple felony charges.
