TEHACHAPI, Calif. — On April 5, Officers were called to the Loves Truck Stop in Tehachapi for an instance of paycheck fraud.
According to court documents, a driver reporting that he called his boss, who was located in Idaho, that his paycheck was $2,000 short.
The boss told police that someone posed as the driver, emailed the boss to get a pass code for a cash advance for checks cashed at the truck stop and cashed five checks in total at the location.
According to court documents, the checks added up to be $3,860.
The suspect was seen on surveillance video cashing the checks and was also using the driver's license of someone else.
No suspect info has been released at this time.
