The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are taking their talents to Monterrey, Mexico for a three-game series.
The first game of the series gets underway today at 6:10 p.m., as right-hander Walker Buehler is scheduled to start for the Dodgers (14-17) and left-hander Joey Lucchesi is set to start for the Padres (11-21).
Buehler is 1-0 with a 1.80 earned-run average in two starts, while Lucchesi is 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA in six starts.
This is the Padres' fourth trip to Mexico since 1996 and their third in Monterrey, and this is not the first time the two California MLB teams have played outside the United States. They played an exhibition series in China back in 2008.
The second game is scheduled for Saturday at 4:10 p.m., and the third game will be on Sunday at 1 p.m.
