A Bakersfield resident was reunited with her lost dog six years after it went missing.
Bennie Crockran’s dog, Sweetie, went missing in Lynnwood, California in 2010. Her other dog, Palin, had just been hit and killed by a car and when she returned to her home, Sweetie was gone.
Sweetie was micro chipped but Bennie never heard anything from the shelters. Yesterday, she got the call from the L.A. county animal shelter, Sweetie had been turned into the shelter.
Sweetie was found at a school in South Central L.A. by the school principal. Sweetie was found in good health and is scheduled to see a vet on Tuesday.
Bennie wants to remind all pet owners to microchip their animals in case they ever get lost.
