BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield will begin work to reconstruct Truxtun Avenue between H Street and Chester Avenue.

This area will be closed off, however, H Street will be open to northbound, southbound and westbound traffic.

The closure is already underway and it started at 7 a.m.., the city says construction work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. this evening.
