The Kern County Corner's office has released the identity of the man who died after veering off the roadway of Highway 178 towards Lake Isabella.

29-year-old Daniel James Bull was heading down the Kern River Canyon when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the road and struck a a cement wall. His vehicle was found down the embankment.

The crash shut down both lanes of Highway 178 at around 6 a.m. Friday.
