BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner identified 39-year-old Jose Leonardo Diaz of Santa Ana as one of the drivers killed in a crash south of Bakersfield in December.

Officials said around 6:50 a.m. on Dec. 20, two vehicles collided in the area of South Union Avenue and Bear Mountain Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol said a truck was going the wrong way when it hit the other car. Both drivers were killed and a passenger in the truck was hospitalized with major injuries.
