The 18-year-old driver of a car involved in a fatal accident on New Stine Road in Southwest Bakersfield earlier in November entered a not guilty plea in court Monday.
Nigel Eddie Nieto was driving under the influence at the time of the crash, according to officials.
He was charged with second degree murder, vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, and evading a police officer causing death.
Nieto will appear back in court on December 7.
