UPDATE (Nov. 1, 12:30 p.m.): Police have taken the suspect into custody near Santa Clarita after a wrong-way, high-speed chase. His tire blew out when a spike strip was thrown in his path.

California Highway Patrol is reporting a driver going north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Gorman.
CHP reports the vehicle is driving at speeds upwards of 100 mph.
