Drop off cooking grease from holiday meals at Bakersfield wastewater plant

City of Bakersfield residents will have an opportunity to recycle their holiday cooking oil and grease during the 2016 Holiday Grease Collection Event.

Residents are asked to collect their used cooking oil and grease in sealed containers and drop it off at the City of Bakersfield Wastewater Treatment Plant 3.  There is no charge to dispose of the oil and grease during this event.

The 2016 Holiday Grease Collection Event kicks off Monday, November 28 and ends Friday, January 6. 

Drop off your cooking oil and grease at City of Bakersfield Wastewater Treatment Plant 3 at 6901 McCutchen Road.

The location is open for grease drop off from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or by appointment.

Plant will be closed on December 26 and January 2.
