DUI/driver's license checkpoint in central Bakersfield yeilds no arrests

The Bakersfield Police Department held a DUI/driver's license checkpoint Saturday in the 400 block of Truxtun Avenue between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

A total of 447 vehicles were screened by officers. No drivers were detained to be further evaluated to determine their sobriety influence level. 

BPD made no arrests for driving under the influence, but 12 drivers were cited for no driver's license or driving on a suspended license.
