Kern County Fire crews are working to contain two tons of waste burning in the Dump Fire near Mojave, KCFD reported Thursday.
Emergency crews were called to 400 Silver Queen Road at 7:42 p.m., where they found rubbish and tires burning.
Kern County Environmental Health was also requested to respond to the scene.
No structures have been damaged, and crews were expected to have the fire contained within a few hours.
