EBT recipients will not be able to access your benefits for some time this weekend due to a 24-hour outage of the benefits system.  

Starting Saturday night at 11 p.m., customers will not be able to make purchases for food or use your cash benefits. This will run through Sunday at 11 p.m. 

California is transitioning to a new electronic system so they need to shut down the current system for a period of time. 

This is a one-time outage and benefit recipients are encouraged to plan accordingly.
