TAFT, Calif. — UPDATE: January 22, 10:19 p.m.: El Potrillo Mexican Grill has reopened after passing it's health inspection with an 87 percent.
El Potrillo Mexican Grill has been closed by Kern Public Health due to multiple health code violations.
According to Kern Public Health, inspectors observed backed-up and overflowing floor drains in the kitchen. Inspectors say dish washing and food preparation sinks were not accessible due to the overflowing drains. Inspectors say the one hand washing sink was also inaccessible.
El Potrillo Mexican Grill received an inspection score of 61%. El Potrillo Mexican Grill is located on 2nd Avenue and South 10th Street in Taft.
