BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — An elderly woman has died following a mobile home fire in the 4300 block of Paramount Street in Southwest Bakersfield.

According to reports, firefighters were called out the scene of the fire just after 7 p.m. Friday night.

When firefighters arrived at the scene they found a double-wide mobile home fully engulfed, one person was outside advising that someone may be trapped inside.

Crews went in and knocked down the fire rapidly.

The victim was found inside the home deceased.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, arson units are at the scene.
