South Fork Elementary School in Weldon has received $1,200 from the California Fertilizer Foundation for their community garden.

School officials say many of the students, who lived through the Erskine wildfire, cannot afford the water to grow their own gardens at home. South Fork officials also say school garden helps give students a sustainable and rewarding learning experience.
