According to the Employment Development Department, Kern County lost a net of 6,100 jobs from October to November.
The biggest hit came to the farming community, with 9,200 jobs lost. The industry with the biggest gain was transportation, picking up 1,300 jobs.
Compared to last November, Kern County has gained over 5,000 jobs. While the county lost jobs during the month of October, there was an overall net gain for 2016.
