Thousands of new jobs have been added to California's economy, but the unemployment rate is unmoved.
A new report from the Employment Development Department shows that state employers added 31,200 jobs in October. However, the unemployment rate maintained at 5.5 percent.
The department says that although job growth continues the rate of creation isn't matching the stream of Californians entering the state's workforce.
According to the department, 90,000 Californians entered the state's labor market in October alone.
