Empty lumber railcars derail in Tehachapi near loop

TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Three empty lumber railcars have derailed in Tehachapi.

According to Union Pacific, around 4:15 a.m., three empty lumber railcars derailed at Mile Post 356 of the Mojave Subdivision in Tehachapi, about four miles southeast of the Tehachapi Loop.

Union Pacific says there were no collisions and no injuries.

Union Pacific is working to clear the track. Union Pacific said they did not know when the line would reopen.
