The Erskine wildfire is now 80% contained in its 8^th day and now burning nearly 47,000 acres.

Officials say their latest assessment of the fire is more than 300 homes have been damaged or destroyed, as well as an AT&T cell phone hub which affected cell service in the Lake Isabella area.

There are currently more than 1300 firefighters battling back the blaze.
