Lane closures previously scheduled on Truxtun Avenue for this week have been postponed a week.

The closure on Truxtun between Elm and Oak Streets will be May 1 through 4. The outside westbound lane will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Drivers should expect delays and find an alternate route or allow extra time to reach their destinations.

The closure is due to construction taking place to demolish and reconstruct the gutter within the intersection. 

Drivers will need to use Pine Street to get to home and businesses along 16th Street. 

Construction and work on new curbs and sidewalks will also take place on the south side of Truxtun between Oak and Elm streets. 

Nighttime lane closures are expected for the westbound outside lane of Truxtun from Oak to the 99 Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
