Friday is the final day of four-day construction on Truxtun Avenue between Elm Street and Oak Street in Central Bakersfield. The construction was rescheduled from the last week of April to May 1-4. And are expected to finish Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.

Traffic officials are advising drivers to take alternative route or to expect to slow down and expect delays due to the construction.
