UPDATE (February 17, 2017 5:30 p.m.): Highway 46 has been reopened at Highway 33, according to Cal Trans.

According to California Highway Patrol, Highway 46 is a hard closure as of 11:45 a.m.

CHP required the hard closure of Highway 46 at Highway 33 due to extreme winds knocking over semi trucks.

There is no estimated time for reopening.
