The Fairfax School District, where the missing 11-year-old girl reportedly attended classes,has released a statement about their student.

Officials say the girl, who has not yet been identified, attended Shirley Lane Elementary and was preparing to enter the sixth grade. School officials also say her family has been a part of the district for over 10 years and that she was a happy, sweet child who excelled in sports, academics, and music.

Fairfax School District also expressed its support during her family's time of need.
