Families are hitting the roads to be reunited with their loved ones for Thanksgiving, and they're coming from every direction.

Roads and major highways have seen heavy traffic within the last couple of days and it isn’t looking to change anytime soon.

Coupled with the high number of travelers on the road, accidents don't make road trips any easier.

As with any other major holiday, police will be extra vigilant of drivers following the rules of the road.
