Jeffery Gresham and a group of his friends have been at Maya Cinemas since 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. They brought chairs, board games, snacks and lots of blankets.
At midnight they’re heading inside the theater to watch all seven movies before finally watching the premiere of the latest one.
At another theater across town, time is ticking for crews working to finish the first ever IMAX theater in Bakersfield.
23 ABC got a special tour of the theater that is still under construction. Crews will be working around the clock tonight and tomorrow and the theater’s general manager says it will be ready.
Showings of the film start tomorrow at 7 p.m.
