Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department said a man was killed in a crash on Morning Drive Sunday afternoon.
BPD officials said at around 2:41 p.m. they responded to an undeveloped area approximately two miles northwest of the intersection of Morning Drive and Paladino Drive, for a report of an off road motorcycle accident, with major injuries.
BPD's investigation revealed that the off road motorcyclist was involved in a solo motorcycle collision.
The adult male rider sustained major injuries and was air lifted to a local area hospital, where tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim’s identity will be released at a later date and time by officials with the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
