BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The name was released Tuesday of a motorcyclist who crashed and died on the Westside Parkway.

He's identified as Eric Brian Keay, 39, from Bakersfield.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the Parkway, west of Coffee Road, on Thursday, March 26 around 8 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed Keay was driving upwards of 100 mph prior to the crash, police said.
