BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County announced on Thursday, February 21 that 8th grader Angelica from Sequoia Middle School is being honored as one of the "Ford Junior Youths of the Month" for February.
The Ford Dimension and Dream Builders Program at Jim Burke Ford presented the recipient with an award certificate at a ceremony on Thursday evening. The winner will be displayed at the Jim Burke Ford dealership for the month of March.
Gustavo Luna, an adviser for the program commented on the award.
“We are so very proud of Angelica and all of the hard work that she has put into school,” said Luna. “It is an honor to be able to recognize Angelica and all of her many accomplishments.”
The Ford Junior Youth of the Year program allows the organization to honor their members who demonstrate leadership service at school, home or with family and scholastic achievement.
