The Farmworker Institute of Education and Leadership Development (FIELD Institute) is scheduled to hold a conference that will lay out their plan for the $1.3 million grant from the California State Board of Education.

FIELD's Career Technical Education program was created with higher education institutions around the state that include CSUB, University of LaVerne, Merced College and more.

The CTE program promises growth in rural communities by financing agricultural, environmental conservation, education and alternative energy initiatives. 

The conference will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held at the University of LaVerne at 10800 Stockdale Highway.
