The Filmmobile is driving into Bakersfield Thursday night and stopping right in Downtown Bakersfield.
From Echo Park, the bus is making its way to Tiki-Ko Thursday night for movies and cocktails. This filmmobile will screen movies created by the Echo Park Film Center Cooperative.
The goal is to bring film and video resources to the community in an affordable way.
The screenings begin around dusk and Tiki-Ko is offering drink specials for those attending. "Things to Do In Bakersfield When You're Dead" is a rum punch for nine dollars and "Quint's Revenge" another rum cocktail in a shark mug for eleven dollars will be offered. One dollar from each drink will go to this nonprofit.
